Default Koni shock question.

I have a set of Koni yellows for my car. My questions is this. I pushed in on the shocks and they come all they way back out in like 8 seconds. Is this normal?
And I am just pushing in with my hands with not much trouble. Do you think they are ok or should I buy a new set?

that sounds to me like they're probably boned

8 seconds is a really slow response time for konis and consider that the shocks are supposed to damp movements of a 3000 lb car - unless you're ahnold, they probably shouldn't compress too much or too easily in your hands

Thats what I was thinking. Any way to have them redone to save some money?

Rebuilding costs like $30 less than buying new shocks. Ive also heard nothing but horror stories from true choice. Konis are not a high pressure shock so its normal to be able to compress them by hand. That isvhow some are adjusted. They should react differently to different amounts of force, so when more force is applied more quickly they should stiffen up. And since they are rebound adjustable try softening them up and then see how long they take to un compress, it should be less time. They sound ok to me, best way to find out is to install them.

I have used truechoice several times and have had no problems whatsoever.

You might want to play with the adjustment on them. I have a set of factory M474 koni's waiting to go on my car and if I have them set to full stiff they take a lot longer to come back up, but if I have them on the soft setting they shoot right back out.
