sorry disagree with everybody !!! YES YOU CAN MAKE SOME MORE HP OUT OF 944NA but yes you can make you na car more powerfull more fun drive will not cost you fortune !!!will not be cheap neighter these cars are not hondas , but can be done I did it yes will never be as 951 !!but will be more fun more fast and will up to todays sport car I got 172hp at wheel and I have all dyno to proof that!!! here are pictures of car in dyno

Wow this has turned into quite a thread.
It's very surprising to me how many people shoot threads about making na power down. Sure it's hard to get decent power and it isn't very cost effective, but NA>turbo all day long in my opinion. And who doesn't like the sound of itbs?

yes there is alot of people here just turn you down beacuse they used to have 944na and didn't have the source of money to improve so they save 2k or 3k and just trade car for turbo and they will kill your question with get a turbo, the same shot all time , that is not answer and really **** me , there is people out there that have 944na or 924s and love the car wants to spend some money in the car to get it faster , powerful whatever, and is turrn down for some guys that dosen't know what they are talking about, one thing is that they read what others post , or read a bookk motronic injections and now they know everything or some add numbers and very few others spend money test car in dyno and see if that works or not and i can tell you a good cam, a good chip, good air filter , a maf and msd will make your car day and night, my upgrades go a little beyond that , couple other stuff, but yes my car dyno even better that my 1981sc at wheels and really is more fun faster even that my 3251i 1993 want you hit 3 gear my 944 will fly!!! I don't race i don't impress anybody but I love each one of my cars waht is wrong with spend some money and make car better !!

yes my car is 944na with body kit!!!! I run in championship with my partowner dealer toyota in my 2006 atlantis add a photo!! and tell my 944 is compare to any bmw 3 series or audi a3 my car been 20 years old handle better and is faster, yes engine is stock , 2.5 has cam, msds, maf set up, chip, exhaust with cat but headers and cat back b#B muffler, also lightweightflywheel, and manual fuel pressure regulator to 48psi using 98oct gas

I can show you how to make hp on an NA:
Motec, ITB's, coil-on-plug, cams, lightened internals, appropriate fueling. Add a heavy dose of weight reduction, shake, and BOOM! Fast car, empty wallet.

That is not my car. It's belongs to a guy here in the PNW region. I don't know the exact numbers but I've seen the car several times up close and it is light years beyond my own and frankly any other NA I've ever seen here on the list.
