I've been driving these cars very quickly for over 10 years, maybe some people want power because the NA is kinda gutless in its stock form.
Isn't the whole point of these things the process of building and modifying your car? I know for me, there aren't really any other cars that I want- except a turbo or 968. I think its really condescending to just assume that everyone who wants more power doesn't know how to drive. Cars today come with gobs of power and yet we deride someone for wanting to get to 200hp.

People on here are always quick to bandish about high HP#'s on modern day cars but they always fail to realize that today's cars weigh a lot more than your average 944 N/A due to modern safety standards and equipment spec. Does a 300hp modern Camry have the same get up and go as an 85 944 would with 300hp? The answer is a resounding "NO". I'm not knocking new cars in the least, and am certainly not getting up on my 944 pulpit proclaiming the 944 to be the best thing since Jeebus. Just trying to insert a reality check.

Why is it every time someone wants more power the default response is 'learn how to drive?'

Sadly, there are people out there that want power so they can tangle with rice rockets. On the other hand, the need for power in these cars would only make them more fun, and at the same time, a dangerous foe on the race course.
I've done some research and the Bosch L-Jetronic fuel system on the 944 IS the most limiting constraint on this car. I'm betting that if you completely swap out the L-Jet for something standalone, more power is guaranteed.
