Default Should I buy this 944?

Found this one online and I'm thinking about buying it looking for more opinions from those more knowledgable about these cars then me. It's a 1986 na 944. Third owner. No rust very straight body.
Has all maintenance records. Recent timing belt, water pump, head gasket, belts, fuel filter, alternator, clutch, and rebuilt cylinderhead about 30k ago. It has about 140 k. No leaks, water, oil, or otherwise. All Electrical functions correctly. The a/c probably has a leak somewhere the owner says it won't hold a charge. The interior looks a little rough. I've triedto attach pics but don't think it worked. Please let me know if you think $3000 is too much for this car as I can't take a look at it 6hrs away.
Any response is appreciated.

I would pass,

Black dash cap on a Brown dash
Exposed wires on the passenger side
Seats have been recovered
Seat switch broken
Steering wheel was poorly recovered

If you are looking for a keeper I would rather have a nicer car at $4k-$5K but I would also bet the owner of this car would take $2k cash.

If clutch and water pump and head rebuild were done by a reputable shop, then $3,000 is reasonable. Make sure you see the documentation for this work.

I would pass. Though I love the shifter, will that work on a 924S? How much work it cost?

$3000 is way too much..

the condition looks "poor". At best. Dash is doubtful. Seats are trashed. Whats all that exposed wiring around the radio? Nasty rear logo lightbar thing. Fish Sticker. Unpainted lower spoiler.

I'm not saying dont buy it, but its worth maybe $1000?

IF, and I mean IF, it's mechanically good. You have receipts for all maintence from a reputable shop. I'd say offer 2K. The wires look like extra speakers or amplifier wiring.

I wonder if that's an accident car. The wraparound decal on the back isn't long enough, and it would explain the use of the lightbar and valance.

$500 will fix that interior. Figure $300-350 for good seats, $100 for a proper redash kit, and $75-100 for a new steering wheel. I put that amount into my early interior, and I get more compliments about it than the exterior.

I'd offer $2000 if you can verify it's a good car bodily and mechanically.

Buy it, maybe try to get it for less. If there is a reciept for timing belt, make sure everything was done, should be about $1,500+ in charges. Seals, rollers, tensioner, water pump, etc. and more...

There's a fish decal below the spoiler. Run like hell.
