I just got a 944 s for about $1300 running and driving with a cracked windshield and dryrotted tires.
It will need belts and such but other than the windshield and paint it is solid....
I paid $3K for a running early 85 and regretted every minute of it...
Do what you want but 3K should be much nicer IMHO....

Good luck JC

I appreciate all the feedback I've gotten. I took the advice of most of you. I offered $2000, l figure (hopefully) that the car runs well and is maintained well, that being the case it needs cosmetics. The good thing is i am in no hurry to jump into something I'll regret. Thank you again to everyone who replied!

Good luck with the offer!

Is this car really the only one around that price within 6 hours of you?

The buyer won't take $2000 but said they'll take 2500. I will continue my search.
Mike, that is one of the only ones around me but I'm in Atlanta so they pop up here and there. I just don't know if this is the one I want to buy.

Good Job holding firm on the price. There'll certainly be more coming up for sale.

Thanks, do you know if it'll pop right in, or do I have to do modifications? I'm guessing it wont pop right in, lol.

there are a lot of rennlisters here from the atlanta area. if you joined rennlist for 18, you would be able to post a want to buy ad here.

I bet you would find the right car at the right price real quick, within an hour of you.
