Race Car
You want to get an idea of how many a$$holes are on the roads here in S. Ca, this article is only the tip of the iceburg. Compare this to rednecks in rust rot pickups. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070720/...ad_repair_rage

I cant get to the closest gas station to grab an energy drink without someone trying to race or rev up to get a rise out of me. Also I have had the same cop pull me over twice in the same day on different sides of the city for going 5 under the speed limit.

hmmmm...........I was thinking of starting to use my Guards Red 944 as a DD. This thread has me worried now. When I drive the 951 I never notice these problems........and I am never challenged............of course it could be that I am moving so fast that ricers just dont have the chance..........

LOL that Andial 951 is quicker than the lightning in your sig.
I love my Mercedes-Benz. Believe it or not, I love it more than my first Porsche (a 944), and even more than my 968. Why? Because I can drive slow and people don't bother me (a 300TD is expected to be slow). I can also drive fast (it is a turbo, after all). I don't get an exorbitant amount of tailgaters, and I never get racing challenges. I cut people off whenever I need to and I don't get flipped off (it's a slow-looking car, so they let it go) and people that don't let me merge get cut-off on purpose (people don't want to crash their chintzy piece-of-junk ford or nissan into a TANK of a Mercedes).
Oh yeah. And every time I see a 300TD on the road (or in a parking lot), the other driver waves back. Every single time!
I only have fun driving my Porsche if I'm the only one on the road (or part of a rennlist group), or if I completely shift into jerk-face mode and totally drive offensively and recklessly. It is sad... that's why I prefer to drive my Benz 95% of the time.

when some *** hat is tailing me, I usually down shift 2 gears and slow down w/o the brakes, then after I open a nice gap, I hit the throttle and take off to catch up with the car in front of me. this opens up a more than safe gap, and they usually get the point.
