- you believe that somewhere, out there, there's a 944 with the factory dash board that doesn't have any cracks (you also belive in the holy grail)

- you feel like you're driving a UPS delivery truck whenever you drive anything other than your 944

- it took you 3 days to figure out the correct way to exit the car when you first got it (turn, feet out, pull up)

- you can't imagine why all cars aren't built with 50/50 weight distribution

Mine's got that, but I don't believe in the holy grail, sorry.

Holy Crap! I own a 944! (and been lovin' it - well most of the time ).

How about this:
  • You give up any engine performance improvements and focus on upgrading the suspension instead.
  • You enjoy wrenching on your car almost as much as driving it ('cause you have to)

My dash is crack free!

Heres another one.

You have new spare misc parts just laying around the house, and the garage for when said part does break.

Or:

You are always thinking about your next upgrade.

Trying to pay for parts without your wife finding out.

Realize the you have spent thousands more on the car than it is worth, and rationalize that by telling people, "It's a classic, it won't depreciate".

Take a look at your computer bookmarks/favorites.

"Fest" has a special meaning

You have memorized offset measurements

you scowl whenever a cayenne driver waves to you, the same scowl that 911 owners make when you wave to them.

(i don't know, maybe its just my town, i'm going to start yelling, "HEY, SAME TEAM, SAME TEAM" )

- You keep believing that that this next upgrade will "be all it really needs."

Guilty. But I think that in a few more years the 944 prices will be going up as they become more rare (Yea right!)

Guilty! 'course, I keep saying that after every repair as well. Guess I'm an eternal optimist or something.

This is why we need to keep people like lart in business. Every one they take off the road and part out makes ours just that much rarer and provides with some spares just in case

You might own a 944 IF: youve asked if its possible to turbo an NA

Your girlfriend calls your car the clown car because you and three other fully grown people (not legless dwarfs) somehow fit in it.

...you get a point-by and the while passing, the other drive not only has to lift, but brake as well to let you bye.

...you have bent valves on your bookcase as a momento of the latest blown timing belt

...you're always surfing ebay your parts you may or may not actually need.

Did you get a funny look when you said: "Trust me, just spread your legs." ?
