We ordered race suits for the team yesterday, and shirts should go out to printing by the end of this week.

Roll bar got here yesterday, and we should have it installed by the end of the weekend. I will post pics when it's done.

Ok, we have the roll bar installed, new tires are on order, got the car inspected by Tim at "Fastlane Porsche repair" in santa cruz, and we need a new ball joint, but everything else checked out. We ordered up some t-shirts for the race, and should be selling some at the race. Hope to see everyone there.

I just saw that #44 was bumped and apparently destroyed by another racer

Our front right front got hit on Saturday, and the front right strut case was cracked, and the strut was done. We thought we were out of the race for good, but we got some help from other race teams. We bent the strut back, welded it and we were out on the track again. This meant that we no longer had any chance of placing well, because we had missed almost two hours, but we had tons of fun, and we finished with the 4th fastest lap time. Not to bad considering we didn't have a front right shock. Our car was really fast and the handling was amazing. All of us got way faster the 2nd day, and we felt that we were as fast or faster than any car on the track. Our pit stops were unorganized, none of us really have any track experiance, and we are all stoked out of our minds. Everyone was super cool, and we can't wait to run it again. I'll post some pics in the next few days.

Congrats on the speed and fun guys.

I didn't really see much of the race, I was under the dash looking for harness gremlins all weekend. I didn't even get to drive. Taste is sour, but the craving is still there. I might squeeze into another entry in the October race.

Slow on the streets, but in the sub-$500 range theres nothing that could compare to a stripped 944.

Did you see the guys from Modified Mag/Super Street? One of those magazines was planning to enter a stripped Q45...if they did they could have destroyed EVERYONE. 300HP V-8 in that thing..

I didn't see a Q45 in the race.

The Volvo 740 turbo looked like it was a really fast car when it was running.

Our team felt really good about the 944, and it made all of us really respect the 944 more than ever. Our car was perfectly balanced, and I can't think of a better car for the race. It was very predictable, and fast. We are thinking about running the race in October with the same car. We just have to replace the front control arm, and strut. The felders need to be banged out a little, but the car runs perfect. I can't get over how cool everyone was at the race. everyone was helping us with our car, and our pit neighbors in the 9th place Alfa let us borrow every tool imaginable and we couldn't have gone on without them. "Ray" the mechanic for the Puegot, and bright green Mr2 was our savior though. He is the one that welded our strut for us, and made it possible for us to compete the 2nd day. Awesome event, and I recommend it to anyone.
