I just bought a Porsche which a 1986 Turbo, The car sat for 2 years in a lot, the roof leaked water, mold in the seats, but started right up with a jumper pack. I paid the guy 2k which seemed very fair and it actaulyl runs great w 160k miles. I juts put a new exhaust on today(magnaflow) but left the cats on and heard no REAL diffrence. I'm going to throw on a new Turbo and Blow Off Valve, Any suggestions on what steup I should go with and whats the loudest BOV made for this car? Also when I floor it my stock boost always says more then 2 bars which is impossible...... Any clue on whats wrong? Thanks!

thats a steal, welcome. first and foremost, get the belts changed, and possibly waterpump.
if i recall, the boost gauge is zero'd at 1 bar, so full boost going just over 2 bar may be correct.. i could be wrong here though since i dont own a 951.

+1 to belts and pump
Hopefully the car's been maintained properly over the years. If not, however, I'd recommend a tear-down and rebuild of this motor eventually. The motor might be fresh with only a few thousand miles on it or it might be running on the original clutch and piston rings...ask the seller how it's been kept up.

yeah, oil drippage is common, belts run $14 or so for a timing belt, and $38 for the balance belt, check out rennlist sponsors for a few vendors. paragon products has a great timing belt kit fairly new to their site

He means do the timing and balance shaft belts PRONTO...these cars will suffer EXPENSIVE valvetrain damage if the timing belt is old and either snaps or skips a tooth. Typically you change them as regular maintenance every 30K or so...since its been sitting doing them NOW is prudent.
By the way...that car is a steal for $2K.
Welcome!

You can manually close the sunroof at the motor using the tool..

Worry about the BOV when you have the more important things taken care of. Like what they said about belts, seals and other parts that play a large roll in making it a well running 951. Just a suggestion.

just to recap everyone:
1) do the belts
2) do the belts NOW
3) Do the belts now or else...
4) BOV, WTF?! ricey obnoxious, and makes the car run uber rich between shifts and at idle
5) do the belts before ANY OTHER UPGRADE!!! you pop a timing belt, and it'll be in the junkyard.
6)Turbo upgrades are nice, but hold off on that one...
