Default Stuck in the mud!!

Guys,
I left my 89 N/A sitting outstide and the wheels sunk into the ground(mud) enough that it is now stuck... I want to try and give it a little tug out with my pickup truck but I am not sure where to hook up a tow rope to pull from the back. Any ideas??
Thanks

Unfortunetley there are no tow points on the n/a 944. If i was in this position i would take the rear bumper off, and hook a chain around both of the bumper shocks.

I know this may sound crazy, but maybe you can jack the car up out of the mud (put a wide board under the jack to distribute the load). Then get boards under all four tires and you should be able to get out of there.

Maybe jack up the back end first to get the driven wheels out of the mud.

There's an old Hungarian saying, "Tőbbet észel mint errővel." For those of you who don't speak Hungarian, that translates to "more is accomplished using your mind than using your strength."

I would not want to attach any chains to the bottom suspension points. The rear shocks can take the load of pulling the car out as the 951 uses them in the front (albiet attached to a bumper bar) and the euro cars have the tow points attached to the hard mounts. He also wont have to lay down in the mud to figure out how to attach the chains. As long as your not yanking on the chain it shouldnt be a problem.

+1 on this idea.
Piece of plywood, jack up each side, fill the holes with dirt, gravel, sand, whatever.
Should take you about 10 minutes and no worries about tearing something off with a chain or tow rope.

yeah I was also thining about jacking it up and placid boards under the tires. probably also place the jack on top of a board of wood so the jack doesn't sink.

is there an easily mountable tow eye made for the NA? That would be a very handy upgrade

There are those tie-down tab things, I towed my NA by them one time when my slave cylinder went out, still looks alright...

Sharky, Do you think you could make a cheap, effective towing solution for an NA?

The tie downs bend easily and are not to be used for such endevors.
