This morning after I parked my car at school, I noticed a strong burning smell. It almost smelled like burning rubber, and I also noticed a small amount of smoke coming from the left side of the hood

When you were in class, did you hear fire engine sirens?

Sorry guys, class started and I had to log off. BTW I did check under the hood after I noticed the smoke and everything looked normal, except the antifreeze level was a little low, but I doubt that has anything to do with it. What could it be?

Give it a closer look. Check your cam tower and make sure nothing is leaking onto something hot, like your headers. Your smoke probably came from somewhere not easily visible. Run it for a few minutes before you go anywhere and see if you can get the smoke to come back.

As I was leaving school today there was massive amounts of smoke coming from under the hood and as I was driving I noticed that there was smoke coming from the area under the glove compartment. I parked it for a few minutes and I took a closer look under the hood, but I still could not see anything wrong, so I took it to NAPA. I just hope it is nothing too serious.

I had a similar issue when my clutch slave cylinder went out.. for some reason it was throwing brake fluid onto the exhaust header from the flywheel.... after a day of that, I push the clutch pedal in, and it stuck...

Again, look very carefully under the cam tower both on the sides and in back. Sure sounds to me like oil burning off the exhaust headers... look for any dampness below, or pull the pan underneath and look for oil on the bottom of the pan...
sounds exactly like what mine did... and here is what I found at the back of the cam tower...

What's NAPA going to do? All of the NAPA's around here just sell parts over the counter. None of them are service facilities....................
Did you get a warranty with that car?
