I took my car to a NAPA autocare center with a porsche specialist.

I'd highly suggest you get your car away from NAPA and take it to a Porsche repair shop FULL of Porsche specialists.

As long as you get what you feel is worth it, your call... NAPA down here couldn't tie their shoes and chew gum at the same time.

What services does the NAPA in NY offer?

So far, I haven't had any problems with them. It is always full of early model 911's, 928's, and 944's, so they must be doing something right.

the NAPA auto care centers here are great! I don't use em myself, but I know lots of people who have and love em. they put on a radio show in Denver, it's mostly a giant commercial, but there is also a lot of information being passed around, that's good information. Any news of the smoke yet?

Unfortunately no news from the mechanic yet, but someone from school told me that he had the same thing happen with his audi. He said it could be a problem with the cooling system, a connector of some sort may have come loose and the engine is overheating, but I expect to hear from the mechanic in the next two days.

I doubt that... honestly, burning brake fluid smells like an odd combination of burning rubber and burning oil...

Did you fix that yourself, or did a mechanic fix it? Was it an expensive repair?

$70.00 and an hour of my time. need a 13mm flare nut wrench and I think a 10mm (or 13mm) wrench to get the thing off the bell housing. bleeding the clutch is a pain in the *** as always, but, the actual repair ain't bad.

My dad got a call from the mechanic and it turns out that I have hydraulic lines that are busted and a coolant leak.
