Default TT rebuild bushings - Payment Details added.

I'm having delrin bushings fabricated for my upcoming torque tube rebuild. Since I can have 4 or 400 cut, once the CNC tooling is set up, I'd like to know if anyone else wants a set.

If you're interested price is $15/bushing + shipping, please let me know. This is a one shot deal, and I don't plan on holding onto spares. These will fit all 944 series cars, and I believe they will also work with the 928, although the 928's require 2 or 3 bushings from what I understand.

Information on rebuilding the torque tube can be found on multiple threads, here, and on Clarks-Garage. The specs for the bushings can also be found on Clarks-Garage.

The List:

Ski - 1 set
Sam Lin - 2 sets

That's it. The only thing that I disagree with in Clark's write-up is the use of sealed bearings. From what Paul at Acme Bearings told me, sealed bearings are usually rated for lower rpm's, as the seals actually drag on the race. Shielded bearings have no actual contact with the race, thus they're better suited for the 6000+ rpm that the driveshaft sees.

I'm working on that with the machine shop, now. The original quote indicated a 6 week lead time, but it sounds like it could happen much faster than that. I should know by Monday of next week. I'm planning on having them made ASAP. Timeline, once I commit, is they'll send me a sample piece for approval, and begin production on approval.

I'll take pics of the sample piece in the 6006 bearings and on the torque tube, so you guys know what you're getting.

For those that are interested, the material used will be Delrin® 511P NC010.

I'm interested Jon. Post some pics once you've got the sample.
