Default Anyone signing up for Thunderhill on 4/23/07

Just wondering if anyone in NorCal is doing the Got Guts at Thunderhill II event on April 23rd? I was planning on going and have been to other Samoa sponsored track days. They are very well organized events. My speeding citation in a double fine zone on Saturday's run might not help my chances though!

If the car looks like it'll be finished, I have the funds and there are no date conflicts I'll try to come.

Gotta go with no sunroof and hope its good weather. Thats what I had to do when I took the 951 last time.

Being tall is so not cool at times...

Let me check if I can -- If a bunch of the local 944 types are turning up then I'll make a special effort to add it to the calendar.

I'm thinking along the same line as Jerry -- if there's a contingency of local 944er's showing up, I'll show.

Wtf?? They won't let you run without both your front windows down at Laguna Seca. Nothing wrong without the sunroof - all you have to have is rollover protection, but I haven't heard anything against sunroofs.

I have that on my calendar as a to do event. And since I'll be driving the miata, I'll fit right in.

I would be nice to see the rennlist norcal guys together at a track event. And Andial951 can show us how to get passed by a miata while driving a 400hp 951

Windows open on all the Nor Cal tracks I've been on -- and the PCA and NASA GCR's all seem to specify it too.

I've never been to a track event that let you keep the windows up. Some groups are particular about the sunroof, but since these are miata guys running the show I doubt you'll have a problem with an open sunroof. Most groups are more relaxed about such things versus the typical events run by the local branch of the PCA *****.

It could be a problem in roll over. There is potential for a spinal injury if your head is protruding out the sunroof.

i need a seat that's mounted WAY lower than the stock seat.

maybe a no-power driver's seat?......

What other options are avialable for lowering the seats, aside from buying side mount racing seats?

Hmmm, April 30th AND April 23rd? Seems like a stretch for me. Not sure if spending ~$500-$600 in one week is a good idea.

Time to start selling my Hot Wheels collection. Hopefully I can make it.

If i'm still in the Bay Area, i'll try my hardest to make it. Thunderhill is really fun, yet feels really safe.
