Yes, between T8 and T9. That's an LMP2 in front of me, the closing rates were...um...fast.

Not many walls, so you do get to inch up to (and over) the limits without taking big risks in many of the turns. But turns one (~80mph) and eight (flat out) are high pucker factor turns that could get messy if you go off. The dirt can be soft, especially after rain, and you could easily dig a wheel in. The only real wall to worry about hitting is a spin to the inside coming onto the front straight. In the video you can see the tire marks where people have spun into it.

Oh, and overshooting the trackout over the blind crest at T9... that would be well... just plain ugly

Count me out. The speeding ticket on the last Fun Run combined with the idiot sideswiping me last weekend on the freeway has put me in the penalty box financially. Have fun, drive fast, and be safe everyone. It's a very nice venue in the Spring.

Was the side swipe to the 951 or the infinity?

Luckily it was in my old camping van. The other guys insurance is going to cover it so far unless the woman driving it unauthorized says that I was at fault while stopped in my own lane and she was going about 35-40 mph when she shot by me out of control They will probably call it a total if repairs come to more than $1200 seeing how it's an 85. If so, I'll but it back for $200 and take the rest of the insurance money to pay for Porsche parts. The car isn't damaged badly, the door closes tight and the electric window skips a bit...no biggy. The 951 is safe and sound except for that ignition switch I haven't replaced yet.

Hey gang, just an FYI... our advanced group is now 44% full and intermediate group B1 is now closed... our second intermediate group B2 is now being assigned drivers. Thanks for your support, see you in April.

30 days to go... and we have an even 50 drivers signed up so far. There are 10 advanced slots left and 20 intermediate spaces. We are ahead of last year's pace and we sold out that event, so don't wait too long if you plan to be with us on April 23rd. Go to www.gotgutsatthunderhill.com/registration.html to sign up.

I'd sign up if there were beginner's spots. Maybe I'll come anyway to hang out and ride passenger. The only thing that could prevent me from making it is that 4/23 is my mom's birthday so we might have sudden plans. And no, she is not an intermediate or expert racer in her 968.
