Post Part needed for electric hatch release

The little metal piece at the top of the motor that connects to the release cable for the rear hatch. Mine decided to break today for some unknown reason. If you could get it to me fairly quickly that'd be great!

Thought of that. Rock's old car is an '86 IIRC and has the manual release. I believe the electric was on '88 and newer.

Mine broke and I ordered one, it broke on the second opening. The cable was too tight. Not wanting to wait for another one, I made one by grinding a piece of 3/8"x1.25" bar stock. I reused the metal pin from the factory part.

Any chance of you making another?

I received one from an older car. The metal pin wont work in the older piece so I'll either have to modify it or look for an exact replacement.

I've now broken two of these... anyone have a good solution? I have checked cable tension and I believe it to have sufficient slack for the full rotation.
