Ran across this site that does vacuform dashes including 944 dashes. I think it looks great from the pictures ,factory finish . Thought you might want to know about it.http://justdashes.blogspot.co.uk/201...storation.html
I read some reviews about them and most people say they do excelent work but customer service sucks and the prices are through the roof ,up to 1000$ .

They do nice work, seen them in muscle cars, but the price is high.

People on the Mopar forums I am on use just dashes all the time and seem to be satisfied with their work.

That looks nice - pretty much identical to the NOS dashboard I bought last fall (and am hoping to get around to installing sooner or later...).

They're not cheap, but then again, there aren't many other companies that fix dashboards for 25 year old Porsches, and if you can find a factory dashboard that isn't cracked, it won't be much cheaper

I dropped my 924S dash off there a month ago. He said he was short handed and it could be eight weeks. Not a problem as I have body work to finish. The vinyl looks real close to stock but is a lot thicker. I needed to take all the gauges, vents and switches so they could make sure of the fit. Should last better than the original. I 'll post a pic after I get it back.

Has anyone tried fixing these dashes on their own? Stripping the old vinyl off and re-upholstering with new vinyl or leather? I know it would be hard around the corners, but it would be worth it in my opinion...

This looks great, but for the price point of justdashes, why not just get a cover from 928 leather shop?
