Default Need 924S Rim Pictures

Ok i'm trying to find out what i'd like most on my 924S, because i want wider wheels than the dinky 185's that i got on there. Would it be Cup 1's, 2's, Turbo Twists, Boxter, basically any rims from Posrsche that would bolt right on. i'd go 15-17" rim size, no more than that. So i need pics of 924S's with these. tall order i know, but i'm sure you guys got some good pics.

You shoudl be able to fit 225s if you put 15x7 wheels up front. I think you may need a small spacer to clear the springs though. You already hav e15x7 phonies in the rear so youd just need to find a pair of fronts. Of course thats assuming you dont want something else completely. My car has 16" phonies onit right now with 215 fronts and 225 rears, the front struts are lowered all the way and no rubbing.

chris i was thinking of your S when i put the boxter rims in the list, but do you possibly have a better pic?

Silverman, for your car did you have to mess with spacers at all? i meant to put late phonies from a 944 in the list, so concider them added and post a pic. what size are they 16xWhat?

Not sure on the spacers since they were installed by the previous owner. There werent any spacers up front. I will probably be putting the rear end up on jackstands tomorrow so that I can replace the rear shocks so Ill check the sizes for you then. I am pretty sure they are 16x7 f 16x8 rear. For track wheels I have the original wheels (15x6 front 15x7 rear) and I plan on getting 2 15x7s to replace the front wheels.

I have one of the 924s "SE" models. (option code 756) Manual windows, locks, M030 suspension. The car came with 16s from a 951 and the PO also included the original wheels which are 15x6/7.

On a side note is that a GTI i n your avatar? I bought the 924s to replace my VR6 for track duty.

Indeed it is. My 924S is replacing my 1.8T for track duty. I thought I blew my turbo up at the last event, but she's still kicking...for now. The switch from massive understeer to neutral/oversteer is going to fun though!

On topic: I just slapped 15x7 phonies with 215/60's and they like they're going to rub the fenders when I get the 944 Spec suspension on. Does it just look worse than it is?

Id take some pics to show you my car but the front struts have been removed so Ill have to wait until I finish up the suspension. Im on stock springs but lowered down almost all the way and I dont rub but then again I havent really pushed the car very hard. The only worry I have is with the front springs. I think Ill need a spacer to clear them but with 2.5" springs you should be ok.

I've got 16x7 and 16x8 phone dials on my 924S...no spacers and they fit great. I'm also at stock height though, so if I were to lower it, I could see maybe needing spacers to make them fit

I dunno if you're able to run those tires... I thought it was 215/55/15's ONLY... could be wrong though...
