If you bring the NSX, I want a ride. Ive had my eyes on one of those for years now. (Early 92-93)

Good luck getting the 951 running though!

Its looking like E36 BMW for me. I just snapped off the starter solenoid post. And I'm still not done with everything else.

I just rolled in, am staying at the LaQuinta about 5 miles away. Gawd, thats a long drive, I left KC this morning at 8:30...

I won't say how the car ran, as I don't want to jinx it but will say I had zero drama getting here.

Regards,

I had a flat tire...just outside of Cleveland. Rennlist member saved the day by bringing me a whole rim and tire.

If there is anyone that hasn't left yet, what time tomorrow will the festivities begin?

Ok, let the love fest begin! What a blast.

Dan P, Winslow, Travis@Rennbay, Lindsey Racing, et al - THANK YOU

A great time from start to finish. Obviously wish I could've brought one of the '44s instead of the bimmer, but it was nice to just get to meet everyone in person.

I'm going to shoot for bringing a 400+rwhp 2.7L monster all the way from Cali next year. Its a long shot, but at least I can wrench in the winter now!

Couldn't have said it better myself!!

You honestly don't know how great this community and people are until you meet them... or break your car with 50 944 gurus. I counted 5, yes 5 cars that where broken at 944Fest 06 and all FIXED before the owners left for home. (One was broken multiple times, and fixed multiple times) Talk about some dedicated, friendly people. Flat tires, dead fuel pump, exhaust gaskets, spark issues etc... all fixed. When you saw a car with its hood up and someone working on it, there would be 5-10 more people wandering around the car helping as much as they could. Rock and I went on a mission with Andy (nine44) and Eric (don't know is SN) to help get Shane's (cass944) fuel pump issue sorted. There was 9 of us in the k-mart/mcdonalds parking lot trying everything we could think of to get his car to run. We ended up towing it back to the Fest and eventually finding out his fuel pump died. Many thanks to Lindsey Racing who had sent Dan P tons of parts, one begin the high flow pump that Shane bought to get his car running. Without these little things, many of us would of been stranded hundreds of miles from home. I really want to thank Andy (nine944) for all his help. The man pulled into the fest, jumped out of his car and was under the hood of a car within 30seconds.

My story:
I can't thank Dan P, and Paul for hooking me up with a rim and tire to get me to the fest. Paul drove 75miles out of his way to deilver me Dan P's spare track tire. Then, Dan P goes above and beyond to find me a 17" tire to mount on my rim so I can get home with all my pieces. Thanks to Irwin who brought me a 17" tire that looked practically brand new. These guys asked nothing in return! (they will all get something from me, becuase i can't stand getting handouts like that) Also thanks to Dan Jaush who lent me his tourqe wrench, small item but without it, the tire wouldn't of gotten put back on.

Thanks very much to all these guys!!

If your debating going to 944Fest, don't, just do it! Beeg flew/drove 15k miles to come and is loving every mintue of it!!

I loved every mintue of 944Fest06. Even with a flat and all the hassle i put the guys through to help me get back home (where i am now).

OH! How can I forget Skip Wolfe(sp?)!! Skip took me for a few laps on the track in his car. WOW!!!! What a friggin ride!! By far the best 30min's i've spent in any car bar none. Nothing like getting thrashed around the track with a pro!

whew.. i'm heading to bed, pics and video tomorrow.

It was welllllll worth it. Maybe we should start a 944fest stories/tales thread or something to cover all of this.

MANY MANY MANY MANY TIMES A BILLION THANKS TO DAN P. No ****. This guy is the real deal, he brings this community together time and time again, fills our cars with goodies, our tummys with food (and for most beer too) and fills our hearts with warmth!

It was definitly worth the drive in my beat up *** damaged turbo. Hopefully Ill stay longer next time. it always seems I have to leave 944 fest early, this year I didnt arrive until late.

It was good seeing the group again, man this was fun. Words cant express this enough.

ALso, thanks to RENNBAYYYY (buhauhauha I stole your hat, wat now bitcH!?!?!?), Lindsey Racing, and all of the other hillarious contributers.

As usual sounds like a great time. Can't wait to see pics. I hope someone was able to use my track spot who wanted to get some track time.
