Talking 944Fest Invite!

Mark your calendars, 944Fest 2006 is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, August 4th and 5th, 2006. This year our venue is Nelson Ledges Road Course in NE Ohio. The first 40 drivers to sign up can participate in our one day drivers ed, Friday August 4th. Saturday will feature a gimmick rally. Both nights we will be hosting a cookout, bonfire, camping and other activities. Unlike past years, there is going to be a cost to particpate.

I've got a great crew helping me out this year, including Travis (Rennbay!!!), Winslow (Horsepowerfarm), Chipster, and more. This promises to be an outstanding event that you do not want to miss.

We still have a lot of details to work out, including hotels for those who do not want to camp, track event technical details, etc. but for now we are opening registration for the first 40 track drivers and an unlimited number of event participants.

Check http://www.944fest.com for more details and registration info. For now, registration is only open to front engine Porsche driving Rennlist Members!

Come join us at the premier waterboy event in the country!

Very cool website! Great job Travis and Dan!

I like that it shows in the side bar who is registered as drivers. Could we add who are registered participants also, it might help people decide to go if nothing more than to see a particular car they have only seen on-line.

I have my gator registered in the novice division for the track already! Are we making an exception for rented Blazers?

As you can see I'm quite new here and I'm not sure how things really go down. How far do people typically travel to the annal 944 fest? I would love to go and meet some people and get the whole experience, but I'm about 10 hours away, and I don't think I'll be participating in the track day either. Not to mention what might happen if the car didn't make it, especially considering my lack of skill with a wrench...any advice?

Also, are there events/meets that happen in the New England area?

I've driven from KC a few times, and Geoff drove from Denver, so RI ought to be a piece of cake! Seriously, come out if you can, you won't regret it!

Regards,
