Thank you for the feed back on ambulance/ EMT. I was really hoping to keep this as low key as possible. But more importantly, I want everyone to feel comfortable.
There will be a staffed ambulance onsite from 8:00AM til 4:00PM.

The first insurance quote was incorrect, I'm receiving a new quote this afternoon.

Thanks again for the feedback, please keep those suggestions coming!

Well dang-it, I guess I'll be in for the first time...

Being an ARPCA-er and usually going to Nelson's anyway, I'm just flat out of excuses at this point!

Great to hear you guys are putting this together. Put another one in for "track junkie" but in the non-turbo-the-snot-out-of-my-car category!

Ha! That's right! That was the weekend with my off-track safari IIRC.

See, now we just need to have a replay of that weekend with my improved equipment and skills so I can keep the sod out of my passenger seat!

I didn't remember you going off, although I do remember the Fiero+300ZX= unravelling right in front of me as I was rounding the carousel.

Dan, I knew you wouldn't skip out on doing it again... I'll put myself on the registration as a "maybe" right now... I hope I can make it, but it all depends on what happens after I graduate, where I work, etc. etc.

Sounds great. I am almost certainly in. One question, is this track day open to all water pumpers, ie Boxsters as well? My wife would like to come up and she can instruct as well.

I'd like to keep the space open for as many of the front engine water pumpers as possible, it seems like we may fill up with just those folks. IF we have space available 30 days before the event, I'd be glad to open it up to anyone. While I certainly appreciate her offer to help instruct, I'd hate to turn away any 924/944/968's to fit the boxster in. Fair enough?

Shameless Bump.

Get used to it. I will be doing this frequently for the next 4 or 5 months!

Winslow - What are your thoughts as far as run groups go? I'll I've seen so far is mention of newbies and advanced. It would be nice to have something in between. I'm pretty comfortable on the track, but with my old 150hp na, I don't want to be holding back some of the guys with modded 951's - especially on a relatively fast track like NL.

Same here. My drivng skills (in all humbleness) are higher than my 944s capabilities - and I won't be using racing rubber. A mid-level group makes sense for a few of us at least.

I don't know guys, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I run with groups like TrackMasters which combines all cars together in an open track format, the variance in hp between cars is HUGE, with no problems.

As long as everyone watches their mirrors, and processes traffic efficiently, I don't think 20 cars on a 2 mile track will result in any traffic problems. Besides, we're going to have fun, not to break any records.

I would rather have fewer run groups resulting in more track time, even if it means dealing with traffic occasionally.

These guys blow me away, I just watch the mirrors and give my left arm plenty of exercise (with point bys):

Winslow will have the final say but with that said I think we'll have to play it by ear a bit and make the final determination based on what skill levels actually sign up. I have run some open days at Nelson Ledges that have had everything from a VW Golf to a ex Bobby Archer Viper on the track at the same time and as long as no one let their egos get in the way and used common sense it wasn't a problem. The one good thing about this event is that we all share the same front engine/water cooled Porsches and I think there will be more respect for each others cars and consequently people will be less likely to act like idiots on the track.
