Chris, I sold the Dodge last year. Decided I'd rather spend more money on the pcar, than putting ALOT more into the Dodge.

So can we pre-pay for the track time to reserve our spot? Where should I send the check?

If I don't wind up driving (novice) I'll work the pits, tower or corners. I've done so in the past for EBR. Is NL providing communication equipment and flags?

Does NL provide their own professional corner workers with EMS on site? I would be hesitant to drive if not.

A number of you have been asking questions, so here are some answers and costs as I know them today.

1. There will be no timing equipment
2. We can arrive at the track on Thursday August 3rd in the afternoon/ eve.
3. I have negotiated our track cost from $3700 down to $2800
4. We will be ridered on NLRC insurance policy $400. (unless Travis runs, then it's $400,000 )
5. Tower and pro corner workers $500
6. On sight ambulance with EMT $400, not sure we will need this. I will be checking on local ambulance response times
7. Over half the track has been resurfaced in the last 2 years
8. We can stay Saturday night and party
9. 5 mens and 3 womens flush toilets and 3 showers for men and 3 showers for women
10. Camping is encouraged. BBQ and a bonfire is permitted
11. This place is in the middle of nowhere Scott encourages us to have a good time
12. Scott has committed to do everything he can to make our event successful, as he would like us to make Nelson Ledges the permanent home of 944Fest

I have not received our full "package" from Nelsons Ledges yet so please wait to ask more questions I don't want to bug the **** out of Scott with lots of phone calls.

With 40 drivers, that's only $10 per head. Well worth it, in my opinion. (Same with the pro corner workers.) **** happens, and I would rather have them right there on site. I realize 944Fest is all about fun, but the track event needs to be taken seriously when it comes to safety related issues. One bad incident can really ruin the weekend for everyone.

Winslow, you're putting a lot of time and effort into this, and it is greatly appreciated!

Winslow,

NL is in the middle of nowhere and the nearby townships are tiny rural communities. Might want to consider the extra $400 just in case. I've only been out there a couple time and never seen it needed, but I have seen people stuff it into the tires, so there is the potential.
