I'm the current high-bidder... would need a little work, the guy says it's a head gasket, I beleive it's the oil cooler seals. Lemme know your opinions.

that's what I'm thinking. I'll have until spring to strip the interior, sell the stuff, and be able to afford a cage. I've already got a seat. It'd teach me how to do body work with a stud gun and slide hammer...

Pretty much, I'd just have to reseal the engine, throw some belts at it (included, not installed), strip the interior, go for some shocks, brake pads, brake lines, caliper rebuild kits, put a cage in it, and grab a harness... I'm looking because 944spec is going to be coming to colorado soonish.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking of staying away... I'll let my bid phase out... it's been met, so it shouldn't be long before it's gone.

It looks like it got hit on the door. Going by that, likely that's the only place that is rusted and you can probably get a used door, maybe even the right color, for about 25 bucks. How wer eyou going to buy this when you couldn't afford the 250 dollar 944 on rennlist?

Don't buy it for anymore than $500. Better yet - dont buy it at all. I see significantly better 944s every day for $1000.

A race car is ANYTHING but cheap. If you need to sell off the parts to even START preparing it, you're in the wrong boat. There is more to it than stripping the interior - ask me how I know.

Where there's a will, there's a way. I proved this with my tires... managed to raise $600.00 in 2 weeks working my **** off...

If only you were in California! I'd sell you mine (formerly Serge's) for 1000! I'm suddenly moving, and I cant keep it

Don't let it go for 1000 - thats insulting yourself, especially since youve put some work into it. Plenty of 1000 dollar 944s out there, but none current on maintenance. Just finish carpeting the interior and it shouldn't be a problem fetching a lot more.
