Default FS: 968 Wing

Excellent shape

OEM Aventurine Green wing from 1994 968

WING only!! No hatch

Several people have put this on a 944, but it does not bolt right on. It will require some work to mount properly.

$500 /obo

Sorry the car is so dirty!! It has been raining here for an entire week!!

Why are you selling the wing? Are you parting the car?

That's a good price for the wing since it is a factory piece.

I think Sam has the knowledge on mounting it to a stock 944 hatch. IIRC it required a little bracket work, right? Sam, do you have the part#'s for the trim pieces too, in case someone needs them? I used to have the part#'s but l can't find them in my archives here.

Ted, get rid of that rear wiper! That would look silly on a car with an "all-business" 968TRS wing.

Tifo, That wiper is coming out as soon as I get my hands on a delete plug. The only thing I have taken off the car so far is that girly-cursive 968 emblem. I have a long list of things needed to be done!

Sam, it is just the wing. I need to keep the trim pieces for the new wing.

That’s what I figured Ted, just wanted to get that question out there...
Jeremy, my bodyshop actually installed it while it was being painted. It can be done with or without a bracket. (Using a bracket will make it a bit stronger, although its not really a weight bearing part. Mine actually was mounted on a 944 hatch prior to me owning it therefore the holes that you must drill were already present. The mounting holes for a 944 vs. a 968 do not line up exactly and you either drill a hole in the 968 piece to attach or you can cheaply make a small bracket. (Mike Murcia did this and has pictures.) I have pictures of how it mounts as well.

The holes do match up, the wing itself bolts on to the hatch, the other three pieces are only there to cover the fixings, you need brackets for the piece under the wing.

thingo,

So it is possible to just bolt the wing up to the 944 hatch? How will it look without the trim things?

Yea you need the trim, I went without the gaskets, you can buy the trim pieces alone, still rich but the wing is way better once it is on

Sans trim:

Or you could just rock the smooth rear end...

Ted, I'll trade you the wiper delete plug for the wing, I have no problem with that...
