Sponsor Funding..
only if my wallet can be considered a sponsor! I paid $1000 to have the dyno guy there for 8 hours.

Yes, Erwin's 968 Turbo was ill. He's seen 475 RWHP but was lean Sat eve. As you know, a lean condition is a big no-no, especially on high end cars like that.

Correct me if I am wrong but it was more then just a 2.7L head. I heard it was one out of 8 (or another low number) heads made. Turbo S maybe? RS?

Anyway, sick car. Had race gas in a tank in the hatch which with the flip of a switch would immediatley pump directly to the manifold.

Yes, his car has the 968 turbo S head. I'm real glad you guys finally got to see that car. He's been a friend for years but is very busy, I had to work hard to get him to bring it. He doesn't do internet.

i wasnt there very long becaues i had to work the next morning. i heard i missed all the fun.

However, I think xsboost (Dan) and Dale should get awards for being the funniest people alive. Damn near everything they say makes me laugh my *** off. They can say something thats not even funny, and just because its them saying it, it makes it funny.

I hope the fest is around next year.I envy everybody that got to stay. I have that feeling inside that a little kid has when his best friend gets the lego toy that the kid has always wanted.... its a weird feeling... i think its called jealousy

After looking at some of these photos I am glad that Lego didn't make it.. I am not so happy about the fact that I didn't. Sorry everyone. Did Michelle make it? LOOKS like you also got to play around with a VW GTI in the last few pics.

Glad that everyone had a safe/fun weekend!!

Next year count me in!!

The neighbors called the cops and the OWNER of the ski resort at 2AM regarding noise and "reckless" activity at the site. I guess some stupid drunk SOB was driving up the BIG hills at 2am, while someone else thouroghly rotated the gravel in the huge parking lot. The lodge is very serious about keeping the neighbors happy and we screwed that up.

I think I may have to send some written apologies out. I'm taking full responsibility for everything that happened. My concern is not to secure the site for future events but to fix the hard feelings we caused.

I humbly request we refrain from posting the ugly details of the late night to protect the guilty. My contacts are car guys who know about rennlist and very well may peek at this site to read about the show. I don't need to give them any more ammunition.

As for the future of 944Fest, it pains me to think about it. It was so much work, $$$ and time that I may just take my kids to Disney World next year. Right now, it is very easy to think about NOT undertaking such a huge project ever again. I am absolutely undecided about what to do. If I bow out, I'm sure some other stupid drunk SOB ( ) would take the reigns.

Beeg, Chip Henderson (Chipster here) won the artwork. He said it would match his living room and make his wife happy. I matted and framed it in a 26x28 frame. Thanks again for the *******, it got a big laugh. Shirts will be sent soon.

My 2.5 N/A did 124. I saw a few other N/A's right in that range as well too.

That's very unfortunate to hear, Dan

I am non-proud to say I missed my second year in a row... I was putting ~22 hours a day into work and doing my own stuff to Lorelei to try to get her upgrades done in time. After a grand total of 5.5 hours of sleep since monday night, I passed out and slept through half of Saturday, killing the idea to actually make it up there this year. Kinda got me really bummed out... I hope the 944Fest lives on, because next year's plan is to have my turbo buildup done beforehand to actually have something to really show off

Best of luck, Dan, and sorry I didn't get to meet you guys up there!

-Kevin-
