I think you should issue an entry fee to get into 944 fest. Maybe 10-20 bux. Im probally the most broke of all of the 944 owners and i have no problems paying that. We all understand its to help you out, and i know everybody on the list appreciates the work youve put in. Thats the beauty of it. You went to all of this time, all of this money, to allow complete strangers to come together to become a big watercooled family. Thank Dan! Youre a hell of a guy! One for the history books

oops, didn't thoroughly read the entire thread. nm.

Dan, thanks for all your efforts! If you can, why don't you come to Renntreffen in September as my guest, and lets talk about how to share the work load so that 944Fest continues, but without the huge burden on you.

Regards,

Dan P.

You got the best turn out yet and you learned a lesson. There is a price I guess. Sorry about that. I am constantly learning lessons. What would be better is if people owned up and you didn't have to bear the brunt for someones bad behavior.

I decided late friday night that I wasn't going to make it to Ohio. I decided SAT AM and went to Waterfest for the day. It's a VW/Audi GTG. I guess one of the biggest on the east coast (it was less than a 4hr drive both way.)

Anyhow, what I learned was that there are a lot of "Children" that own these cars. I am not talking bad about young owners I am just saying that there ar some that have a different concern than a lot uf us do..

For the children reading, just have some control and if you goof off, do it on your own time not at someone elses expense.

Here's a pic of our car on the way up. I am once again the ony odd ball color and I have a bra to hold up the lamps

Welcome to the waterfest man I think the retard level of that show reached a peak this year. I actually never made it down because me and my friend radioded in 3 police units on the "fellow" VW enthusiast who were cursing and threatening other drivers on the road and basically being total morons. So we had to hang back and wait for PD to come and take care of them. One actually got his license ripped up right in front of him. I think this year is the last one for me because it has been progressively getting worse and worse every year. What a waste of 3 hours. Englishtown is like 30min away from me.
Average age of an MK4 owner is like 18, too many f-ing spoiled kids. I wish i could go to the fest but my car would never make it

Honestly, I think the last two posts would be different if you had been there. Maybe not...

It's a shame you couldn't make it, I was looking forward to meeting the new moderator. I remember a few of the HP numbers and have some on video...but I'm sure someone else would know more.

BTW, my pics of the event are in my signature!

na was 204 on the 968 transplant
and unlimited was 238 i think with the "porschette".. the cool thing w/ that was the constant 293 ft pounds of torque

Then Dan's friend with the red 951 put down 405 I think. He was even having problems with it. It wasn't in the competition though.
