The platform is hydraulic and angles itself to something more reasonable. I didn't see any of the cars get close to the ground...even with splitters

BTW, my pics of the event are in my signature!
Yes, I worked through the last few nights straight, making sure the car would be ready. A good friend helped me get it tuned all day Friday and about 3 miles into the trip I sheared off all the CV axle bolts!

I am especially upset now, knowing that I would have taken home a trophy from the dyno competition.

You are mistaken. The people already have owned up. Re-read and you should be able to figure it out.

Nothing to say, I just want the email updates so I can snag pictures throughout the day while I toil at work.

Dan, take up Scott on his offer. He is a great guy and I am sure he would be a great deal of help for next year.

The lodge is very serious about keeping the neighbors happy and we screwed that up.

I think I may have to send some written apologies out. I'm taking full responsibility for everything that happened. My concern is not to secure the site for future events but to fix the hard feelings we caused.

I humbly request we refrain from posting the ugly details of the late night to protect the guilty. My contacts are car guys who know about rennlist and very well may peek at this site to read about the show. I don't need to give them any more ammunition.

As for the future of 944Fest, it pains me to think about it. It was so much work, $$$ and time that I may just take my kids to Disney World next year. Right now, it is very easy to think about NOT undertaking such a huge project ever again. I am absolutely undecided about what to do. If I bow out, I'm sure some other stupid drunk SOB ( ) would take the reigns.

Dan, I am sorry to hear that. I had my fingers crossed for you for a smooth weekend.

I think I can lay claim to nabbing 1st in 2.0L Stock! 122hp, 133 ft-lbs Tq.

Too bad there wasn't a trophy for that class...

Dan, it was a blast, thanks so much - but you've gotta learn to delegate!

well campeck you wouldnt have won a trophy on the dyno cus the 968 swap and i think a stock s2 were in the same class. I pulled 125.4hp and 138 torque, but methinks that adjusting the air fuel quality switch would have brought things up since she was running hella rich- IIRC when i bought the car we were messing w/ that switch and richened it all up for some stupid reason. I was pretty happy with the results over all though, we'll see what my measly 125 can do again at the next autox.

Default What a great event!

Judi and I want to sincerely thank Dan for hosting the 944Fest......we had an amazing time!!!
It was good for this 944-veteran-but-noob-to-the-forum to be able to put some faces to names, let alone check out all the superb hardware.
Heck, our car thought it was at its 20 year family reunion
Neither the weather on Saturday or even being part of the "lost" contingent on Sunday's drive could wipe the permasmirk off my face, and we've already hung the picture we bought as a remembrance of a fantastic weekend.
We hope the post fest fallout doesn't preclude an '06 event, and by some divine mercy Dan even finds his lost wallet.

Cheers
Brian (& Judi) Bennett

OK - I've got a few to share. Need to crop and resize everything. Since I'm using a sledge hammer- it might take a while...

Here is the Porsche Posse in/near Fostoria. Vaughan, Tony K, Marty, Brian (front to back).

Awesome shot Scott......makes Vaughan look like he's in an uber rare RHD 931 ;-)
