Hey Gang,

We're comming up on the two week timer for the LSD/clutch/turbo swap wrenching and ensuing fun run. The wrenching will be the 11th and 12th to free up THE most important weekend of the year, Fathers Day. I would like to get a show of hands who will be able to make it and to re-calculate the BBQ/pizza/beer ratios. This is a great opportunity to get "hands on" a couple of those bigger projects that you hope you never have to deal with on your own. Dad has been wrenching on these cars for decades and is very knowledgeable.

Geoff, I entrust you have assembled an amazing route of twisties and scenic goodies for the fun run!

I have hinted to Dad that there might a few parts requests for his "spares" inventory, hell, there's prolly a car or two that could be added to that list. I still have a bunch of Purosil 5/32" vacuum tubing and suspect that my turbo tranny will be available to a local Rennlister as well!

Unfortunately, Jeff (POP) will be slaving over a hot engine bay and will not be able to make the drive. So much for the tall tails of WestCoastWrenching events...... .

 

I'm going to be running Pueblo with the PCA on that Saturday. I might be able to make it down for Sunday tho. There's a BMWCCA auto-x that day that I'm not sure if I'm going to do, depends on family responsibilities. If I don't hit that, I should be able to make it out for a few hours...

 

forgot to add...now's a good time to see Dad's 928S4 restoration, next step-engine installation.

 

doc, Nice avatar, looks similar to Cambria's! I didn't know PCA was running Sat, that might affect attendance--just a little. Because it's in Pueblo, I'm sure Daniel will be attending.

Also, I'm traveling 15 north out of San Diego to 70 and into Denver. Any listers along the route who would be able to help out in the event of any technical snafu's, please PM me. Just in case.....

 

Yeah, I've got a couple good routes set up. We'll see where we go... I've been busier than ever lately. one of the 4 people working at the company went on vacation, so, I'm doing an internship in boulder, after that driving to park meadows for my paid job, as well as house sitting and taking care of my dog... this goes on 6 days a week, and i'm gonna be extremely burnt out by the end of it... I've already determined that i hate people in Highlands Ranch... Retail sucks.

 

I used to date a girl there who's family had oil wells back in PA, on the other hand, the country club has a TON of hotties!

Hmmm...How about not.... My dog is viscious towards people she doesn't know, and I don't want anyone bitten. but you say the 11th? I should be done with the house sitting by then...

I might catch a Rockies game, they have a string of at home games and the field is 20min from Dad's.

 

whats up all i haven't been on rennlist for a little bit so i am a little late on this thread. ya if u guys come down to pueblo for the autocross or whatever it is hit me up on my phone. i think most of u guys have my cell by now . So what is going to be going on in denver or where is it at? last time i didn't get to make it up there since my car wasn't finsihed at the time. Let me know and if i don't repsond to this thread right of way hit me up on my cell.

Hey Gang,

Got in town a little late for the PCA Concours event, how did it go? No worries, I salvaged the day by helping Dad reseal and put the front on the S4, next is rod berrings.

Mon and Tues will be spent replacing the kitchen floor and back to LSD preps on Wed and Thur while the concrete cures. Fri new flooring goes in and back to wrenching Sat and Sun.

I haven't been able access my email wile out of town so PM me with phone #'s and ??'s. Any part requests I should give dad a heads up on?

 

Wow.. moving stinks.. I have been out of the loop. So what exactly is going on this weekend?
I thought there was a Porsche show Geoff? Is that still on? I was planning on attending if so.
I would be down for a drive but as you know I am still in the jetta. Working hard on finding
a good 944 or S2.

 

There was... but no. that was on Sunday.... and I had to be the sucker to get called into work on my day off.
