I hope everybody will know and remember this car as Pete's 944.
I'm buying it and I'm babying it until death does us apart.
It's not like i have $9.5K laying around, i'm actually selling my 2002 GTI 1.8T with 30K miles to afford this car and i'm going to use my 84 VW Rabbit to get me around 90% of the time.
May rennlist sleep well tonight, this car is going to a porsche nut.
The only modification i see coming is a nice LED bluelight attached to the front windshield to help move traffic when responding to calls, but that's about it.
Vlad.
p.s. I think it's about time i get that rennlist membership.

Heya Pete, umm.. my 4 yr old daughter will be with us at the Fest, feel free to bring yours along. I may be able to arrange an overnight babysit at a hotel with a cement pond, my daughter would love the company!

My posting average will definately go up.
I've been so excited for the past 4 hours that i can't even concentrate on my College HW. I've been basicly running around my garage trying to undersand what kind of miracle is going to bring an S2 there.
Now i have to apply for a paid EMS job, because this summer will be financially tough. But i can't wait to take this car for a spin. I haven't DRIVEN a 944 in the past 2 years.
I can definately understand the pain of selling a car that was completely restored and refinished by one. Last summer i had to let go of my 92 SE Miata that i have completely rebuilt to a perfectly driving topless criser that was just tooo much fun.
I'm not planning to autoX or road race with the S2 for now, I have my Rabbit for that. I simply want to enjoy the car and take care of any problems that will pop up in the future.

Pete, I'm sorry to hear that you had to let your car go. But it's good to hear that the sale went fast and the car's found a good new home! I hope stick you around Rennlist and find yourself back in a p-car soon.
Good buy, Vlad -- nice job!
