Default anyone considering selling his 968 cab or having a partial trade with a 951

hey guys, since i sold my s2 cabriolet, i have been thinking to get a 968 cab. i just miss out one in the classified for 11.5K, sounded like a good deal.
anyway, iam looking for 968 cab, 6 speed in any condition as long as its straight and has a clear title.
ialso, if anyone is interested in a partial trade , i have a 1986 944 turbo, in arena red, the paint is new and perfect (no dings anywhere), cost me 3k, drivers seat is worn, same for the dash the rest is pretty good. the car has 133K miles, and has an authotority MAF/ chips, new euro foglighs, full B&B exhaust, new clutch, and 17 inch turbo twist wheels with new tires. the turbi is the original and its getting tired, also, the timing belts and water pump are due in 1000 miles.
please email ma at halaoui@bellsouth.net for pictures.
thanks

I think I may want a finders fee for this one.

A 968 cab for 11.5? I can't believe how cheap these cars are in the US. Up here it would go for double if in good shape.

That sort of price is mostly an anomoly. Our 968 was ~$15k and was the cheapest i'd seen in the Bay Area by about $3k. Ebay prices tend to be a bit cheaper however. Still, it is rare to find a 968 under $14k, especially a cabriolet.

14K is pretty much the average for a good clean 6 speed 986 cab. i see people asking 20K to 25K, but for that price you can find a great 90s 911 or even a 993

You can really get a clean 968 Coupe for less than $15k? Cool.

I guess that makes sense, considering there are nice Boxsters for sale under $20k!

If you are a agressive shopper- yes. The sub 20K Boxsters are pushing 968 prices down.

well there is a boxter foe sale locally for 15k , its a 98 with 60k miles, it drove nice but it didnt feel special and unique, every one have them especially in miami. but when i used to drive my 91 s2 cab, i always had people asking questions about it and how beautfull it was. iam sure with a 968 it will be the same, since i really havent seen more than 2 cabs in miami in the last 2 years.
anyway, iam sure a good one will come up soon.

yah stick w/ the 968 instead of a Boxster. We thought about the Boxster but a 968 had more hp and better handling than early Boxsters, and was much more unique (aka, not a suburban housewife car!). Its much better to have a piece of history than just another mass-produced Boxster.
