Need Help with some 944 Tools
Greetings,
I have been away from 944s for a long time now and I am pretty sure that I won't be getting another one. However, I still have the Porsche Timing Belt tools (P9201 and wrenches) and the original paper maintenance manuals with the Turbo supplement that I no longer need.
My question is, are these items still of value to 944 owners? My wife would like to see me sell them, but I don't know what they would be worth or if they have been obsoleted by newer tools and CD manuals.
Any recommendations would be appreciated before I list them on eBay or the Rennlist classifieds.
Thanks,
Marv

Yes they are still worth some money...the manuals are no longer in print. So one can only buy them used. I'd say manuals in good condition could catch maybe $100. And the timing tool a little more than that. Maybe someone who has purchased these used could chime in on how much they paid.
Good Luck!

Marv,
Check on eBay to see what the printed manuals have been selling for, or check the archives. I thought they were still fairly pricey.
A lot of people are using the Kricket tools for tensioning, but the P9201 tools are still selling for big bucks, when you can find them. Best prices (new) I have seen are still around $365 or so...
What wrenches do you have? I could use the roller wrench, flywheel lock, and so forth.

I put both on eBay to see what happens. Item numbers are:
4506087245
and
4506095877
I based my prices on previous eBay history. We will see if that holds out. All products are really in great shape, so the buyer will get a good product.
