I am not affiliated with it, but it seems a very nice example...

I looked at an '87 924S that was advertised with low mileage this past summer. Car looked great in pictures, but in person, there were many little items that made me wonder if the mileage had not actually rolled around once already (the old dash style cars only have 99,999 mile odometers). The car I looked at was a re-paint (a pretty good one though) and the engine looked a little "old" (strut top nuts corroded, like the white car here) etc. The interior was so-so with a cracked dash. I wonder who would keep an '87 924S with this low mileage, but allow the dash to crack? It just seems weird to me. Most people who put this little mileage on a car keep it indoors etc. My '87 944S has 147K mileage and a perfect dash - the owner always used a sun shade when it was parked outdoors...
This is all speculation and the car may in fact have this low mileage, but if I were looking at it, I would try to check it really carefully.

I'd make sure the title's history was done. It loos like actual mileage, but a garage queen of that magnitude would need all new rubber installed prior to any driving.
I did notice it on e-bay, but the buyer is out of his mind with the buy it now price.

I looked at it again, and it is really hard to decide. It some ways, it looks great, in a few other ways, it looks maybe a little tired. Could all just be the photos though. Regardless, I would still be very cautious to look into the car's history before bidding.
I didn't notice the buy it now price, but $8500 does seem very high. It is funny though how these cars are undervalued. If this car has just 16K miles, then in some ways, it would seem a great deal at $8500. What I mean is that even factoring in, maybe, $3000 to do belts, update seals etc. (less if you do it yourself of course) it is still a bargain in terms of actual car for the money (what new or recent used car can you get for that money that would hold a candle to a nice 924S?). I guess it is just that supply of 924S/944 cars in nice shape exceeds the demand for them. Great when you buy, frustrating when you sell!

Looks a lot like mine except I have a 944 hatch and black interior. That dash crack below the speaker grille is in the same spot as mine.
I like looking at pictures of these cars because now I see that there's supposed to be carpet around those plastic console pieces.
