Default anyone know how to safely ship a fender?

well, the topic says it all. I was wondering if anyone has successfuly shipped a fender cross-country, how it is packaged, and how much it ran.
Thanks!

bubble wrap, oversize box and fill with styro peanuts, brace the box with angle corrugated. - is is going UPS? UPS will charge dimensional weight and be expensive- try Old Dominion Freight, BAX SUCKS.

I went to a body shop and got a box just made to ship fenders. Make sure the container is not too messed-up....because mending one is a time-consuming bear.

If I ever need a fender, I will find a closer car and pick it up and bring it home myself. But that's probably easier to do in Ohio than in Colorado by mere population density...

I just had a 928 fender shipped to me via Greyhound. It needs to be bubble wrapped around the sharp edges. The cost was $40.
