First off.... WHY?

Second, might be easier and better in the long run to ask the guys parting cars, maybe you can get a package of everything so it matches... I cant think of any products that will remove enamel paint from vinyl, without making MORE of a disaster.

um wow...

Try stripping the old paint off the panels with a cloth and soap/water solution, then try and recoat it with some VINYL dye available at autozone.

Good luck..

An 89 951, what a sweet ride.

I think the only solution is to sand off the paint and try vinyl/leather dye.

Paint is surely not the right product for coloring Leather...

You might want to find some dye or stain....but I since it sounds like you took such drastic measures, that the leather wasn't in that great state anyhow.

You may want to consider replacing some of the affected interior with used parts.

just so you know, unless your car has the option, nearly all the interior is vinyl. usually only the front of the front seats are leather, and sometimes the whole front and rear seats. i've yet to see a 944 with a leather dash and/or leather rear interior panels.

I have never knowingly seen one, either, but am I correct in saying that it was indeed an option?

I did own an 85.5 for a short time that had the full leather front and rear seats... nice! And sport seats at that!

Please say that was a joke post. If not, start looking for replacement panels, I doubt if it will ever be the same again.

Tony K,

Yes it is an option, Dad has a blk/blk with leather dash (in much better shape than a vynil), door panels, and full seats. Not sure if it included rear seal panels.
