Here are some of my pics. I learned that the camera my dad and I were using is not quite so good at anything that isn't a building.

MOST.FUN.EVER

Thanks for planning it and whatnot. It was awesome. The car runs so much better now that it has finally had a chance to stretch its legs.

Who all went to the 997 launch? I wanted to go, but my dad wasn't up for vancouver traffic. Any CGT's?

Travis, Thanks a bunch for getting the whole thing setup! The ticket issuer at the tram said "your quite the negotiator".........Ya did real good!

I had a good time. Trying to keep up with all those turbos, and Ken's black 928 biting me in the rear, gave me a pretty good opportunity to run my na thru its paces. You might be right Rich, I might not sell the na soon.....but yes, a 951 would fit the bill alright. Though, I've got to admit, those 928's looked mighty awesome!

What a cool event, at least from the pics.

I wish someone would organize something like this in Southern Ontario. Someone, that is, who has got their scheiss much more together than I do.

1. NUT the Negotiator
2. 997 / 997S launch included a CGT that the owner fired up a few times - nearly blew out the huge showroom windows with that bark!
3. 997 and 997 S are extremely inviting... hmmm
4. Hells Gate is on the mighty Fraser River in BC http://www.hellsgateairtram.com/

more photos here at https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/155266-photos-from-the-front-engine-fest-hellsgate-trip.html

and here's an odd bit of trivia on the Hells Gate aerial tram:

AUXILIARY DRIVE:

Type Porche / VW
Max Output 42 HP
Speed 3000 RPM
Max. Travelling Speed 1.5m/sec

So is the 944Fest, it just isn't obvious from the name. (For some reason the 944fest.com site is down, I guess it is time to call adelphia and complain)

Guys, what great scenic cruise routes you have! Man, I am Soooo jealous! Great turn out for a first time event!!
