Hobbies: Cars, racing, racing cars, custom metal fab, photography, generic speed junkie
Porsche Genesis: Bought an old beat up unknown mileage '80 924 just out of high school, thought it was fun to drive, started looking for an upgrade. Found a 84 N/A I wanted to do a sleeper 944 with allllll the 951 goodies, spent too much time and money, decided to buy a 951 instead.
Future wants: No more Porsches, or wifey might beat me up. A motorcycle would be nice down the road though.
Other Cars: 06 Pontiac Grand prix(DD), lifted 94 Chevy pickup finalizing a frame off resto, 1952 ****** army jeep next in line for restoration.
Previous cars: Too many to bother listing, but last 3 were 2 Olds Aurora's and an El Camino lol
How I learned about Rennlist: The first time I searched google with a question about a 944 Rennlist popped up. Been lurking for around 10 years reading builds and progress of everyone else while I tinkered, finally became a member when I picked up my '86 951
Hobbies: Family, 3 kids, cars, sports, music, home improvement
Porsche genesis: In general, I've always have been interested in German cars. This is my first Porsche however. In my youth, I remember my dad always looking at 'sports cars' including 924's & 944's but never bought one. My dad passed away (miss him!) in 2014. Decided to get this 944 in memory of him and to do more than just look at them.
Future wants: TBD! (My cars as they are are keeping me quite busy).
Other cars @ my house: 2006 Audi S4 (daily driver), 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee (wife's), 1998 Audi A4 (son's), 1999 Mercedes C280 (daughter's)
Rennlist: When I was shopping for a 944 I googled for Porsche forums and found this one to be the most useful and interesting.
Porsche genesis: Started with a 924 in early 1990s when I could n't find a good MG B, progressed to a 944 then another 944, followed by a 944S2. Sold it in 2011 and finally bought a MG BGT which I sold December 2016 and bought my current 944S in January.
Other cars: E39 BMW528i touring my daily driver and my wife has a Toyota.
Rennlist: was aware of Rennlist when I got the 924.

Reason: spelling mistake
Porsche Genesis: My first was an '84 944NA that J bought basically on a whim. I was actually shopping BMW E30s but couldn't find anything when a ratty Garnet Red 944 popped up. I snapped it up for $1800 and had a blast for a year and a half before I accidentally killed it in a heavy rainstorm. I immediately started searching for another and picked up the '87 S I've been driving for the last 3-4 years.
Future wants: Caymans appeal to me but I can't see owning two sports cars at the same time and I can't imagine getting rid of my S now. I wouldn't mind having a nice offroader, though.
Occupation: Wal-Mart home office, Information Services Division: Control Room (Run the mainframes for Wal-mart worldwide)
Age: 41
Porsche Genesis: 944's came out when I was 9, loved them since I was a kid. About 2 years ago started doing searches for something older that got good MPG to offset my Suburban for driving to work and other solo driving. Discovered post about people getting 30+ in their 944's. Started searching for a 944. Found it on Christmas eve 2015, rest is history.
Future wants: 951, 928
Other cars of note: 94 Acura Legend, on it's last leg. Maybe save it, maybe junk it. 82, 86, 88 Firebirds/Trans AM's. 89 Firebird GTA. 68 Mustang (first car) Datsun 200sx (second car) Ford Probe (POS Mazda, there's a reason you don't see them anymore), LeBaron convertable (another POS), 99 K1500 Suburban (Porsche Service Vehicle/ Family Hauler) One of my favorite cars: Buick Regal, cracked a head, but loved that car.
Rennlist: Google showed me the way, searches on 944 kept coming back here.
Don't think I've ever quoted myself on a forum before... fun times....
Just have to update:
Future wants: 951 is 14 days 12 hours and 38 mins away.....
Porsche Genesis: Have seen a local mafia guy drive his 924 when I was a kid, got me interested, read about the 914 and 924 on the internet and when I was the age I tried to buy that 924 but failed. A year later I found one in the neighbor city and bought it. Have it since.
Future wants: 968
Other cars of note: I have always been in "the family" always driven VWs and Audis, first car was a local brand though, an old Dacia (Renault 12 clone)
Rennlist: found it by mistake...keep coming here once in a while to see whats new with some people/cars I'm interested about.

Porsche Genesis: I've been a car enthusiast since as long as I can remember. Became a fan of Porsche's in my teenage years, particularly of the 911 turbo and 944 turbo. Always wanted to get one but never had the time, money or place to keep one. Finally have most of those and I'm currently working on putting a neglected 1986 N/A 944 back into shape.
Rennlist: I can't remember exactly how I found out about the site. For every car I've ever owned I've always tried to find where the most knowledgeable people are on the internet and for Porsches that is Rennlist in my opinion.
Hobbies: Restoring "cool" old things (guitars, motorcycles, cars etc).
Porsche Genesis: I bought a 1980 931 just after high school, and LOVED that car. Eventually the repairs outweighed the value and it was parked. I plan on restoring it sometime soon. Last December I bought a 1986 Guards Red over black 951. The 951 is currently in the shop getting a big turbo and a bunch of other go fast goodies along with replacing everything with a seal and going through the whole vacuum system.
Future wants: Way too many to list. 968. 987. Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Name: Matthew Bogardus
Age: 22+30 years of experience.
Occupation: Soldier
Hobbies: anything with an engine, Xbox, outdoor cooking.
Porsche Genesis: pass from Father to Son, he was a 356, 550, 911 guy. I'm more of a 944, 968 guy with a soft spot for 928 even though I will never do that again.
Rennlist: found it during a Google search, helped me troubleshooting a problem, became my goto forum.

Porsche Genesis: My Friend in High school introduced me to the 944 Thought is was the most awesome car, the way it handled, looked. I liked the car very much, and he eventually got rid of his NA and bought a Turbo-s. After a Good night of drinking he handed me the keys because Im not a big drinker, That Did it! The power of the turbo, the way it felt on on/off ramps with the pop-up headlights was just sooo cool. 3 weeks later I owned one.. I now have 3+ (probably have enough parts to "make" one)
I have been working on and restoring these cars now for 18 years... I enjoy helping out other 44 guys in the area and in the club, I recently did an engine swap for a fellow club member in his 87 16v.
