Default The horror just wont end.

Well guys ive done it again! There was a problem with my hood cable, the mechanism is broken or something and I was tired of dealing with it. So i took the latch thing off the hood. No biggie. So I decided to take it for a drive (the hood is heavy as hell... or so i thought). Well im coming back driving the car having a good time, then I tell my friend "I love this car!". Right as a do, the hood freakin flies up and smacks the windshield. I was like HOLY F***. We pull off and i take a look at the hood. Its bent as ****, and we try and get it down, only managing to bend it more. So now i have a cracked windshield and a bent *** hood. Boy! Do those cracks really accent the BB gun shot on the car!

I couldnt help but laugh at this one. Despite the fact that it is going to cost me more money, its just too damn funny!

Heres a pic for now, ill post more tomorrow when its light. (the hood is too dark so you have to wait for tomorrow)

The tranny is awesome! It drives better than you described. The only problem is the Odo and the Speed both dont work oh well could be worse.

Otherwise, damn man for 100 dollars you saved my life.

rock, drop the keys, take a few steps back, then turn around and never look back. i can see in the future and all i see is you going in debt from this "free" car. my brother did something similar. except it was with his carbon fiber hood. he was driving it too storage and had forgotten to shut the hood all the way. windshield looked about the same as yours but he had cracked part of the CF off!

this happened to me a few weeks ago in the integra. the hood is jacked, the windshield is shattered, and the hood is held done by a ratchet strap.. not fun at all (and it scares the heck out of ya when it happens outta nowhere too!)

take deep breathes. call around to junk yards, see what you can find to get you by.

Wait, let me see if I am reading this right. You went driving without the hood latched?!?!? Try thinking next time you do something, it tends to save lots of time and money. Honestly, I hope you get it all fixed for cheap and learn something, but be f*4%ing careful next time...there are others on the road too.

No no silly, see the hood was down all the way, except the broken *** latch was off. It worked pretty damn well until i gave her a little more power.

As for the hood, im glad its gone, it was a POS anyway. Now I finally get a reason to buy a new one.

It doesnt look at bad as it is. I just saw it under the light at a gas station.

I figure if i had a grand i can get it looking brand new. Right now the only problems are

-Paint (more toward the front)
-Belts (7 years old)
-Hood (easy replacement)

Thats all i need.
