Thanks Marky522. Ill think about that one, but I might be able to find one local.

As for Predator, **** what you think, im glad I did it. I thought it was funny as hell, nobody was hurt (except maybe my wallet), and i had a damn fun time wrecking my hood. When im done with it maybe i should drive to where you are and throw the freaking hood in your yard as a trophy for the "Most helpful Rennlister". Hell I might even spraypaint a few happy pictures on there to cheer you up, because obviously life has pissed you off.

I mean ****, if i want to take my car and mess it up that should be my deal.

Sucks about the bone-headed move. But if it makes you feel any better, we've all done stupid things at one time or another. Those who claim not to have are liars.

Hell, I just pulled on myself. I missed a whole week of classes because I thought the second summer session started this week. Turns out they started last week. Oops.

BB.

A little more thought in the future would help, that hood does make one hell of a sail. ;p

I think that those 7 year old belts would have kept me from being out doing that anyway.

Whoa whoa whao there. Calm down a bit. While Predator may not be the most tactful guy on the BBS, I think that maybe you let him get to you a bit too much there.

You have to admit, it seems like your posts always consist of "I f'd up part X" or "Part X fell off my car and I ran over it", yadda yadda yadda. He probably just got tired of reading the same thing over and over and over again.

It's not a slam on you at all (what I am saying), it's just that there are a lot of members on this forum that are here for the technical aspects. Others are here for pure entertainment value (of which you have offered up a lot it seems).

You can't please all of them.

Now rock.. Was your original idea to use your entire hood as a scoop? Did you figure that the hood would direct a large flow of air over the engine for extra cooling, but didn't reinforce your design correctly?

:P

Good luck dude.

It was my idea to take the latch off because i was tired of dealing with that damn cable. The thing was horrible, the metal wire was cuttin my hands and pissing me off. So i took it off, along with the hood shocks, hoping the wind would hold its *** down. I GUESS I WAS WRONG. GODDAMN! SOMEBODY SUE THE 16 YEAR OLD! ITS NOT OFTEN WE SEE A 16 YEAR OLD WRONG!

He's got a reputation to hold, he made a couple "test posts" last night.

I didn't think that the hood flipping up would do that much damage to it, that thing is bent pretty bad. How fast were you going?

ROCK, i have two hoods, one has a "scoop" cut into it for airflow that was never really used but would work, and one is brown w/ a little rust in it and has a couple dings, but would qualify as a hood. You can have either one, just come and pick it up. Give me a call.

I don't understand why he thinks it's so funny.
