Get the Miata, cheaper parts, more reliable, lower maintenance, and more track opportunities.

yes, Miata..they are tons of fun to drive (but its still a chick car) and they have a great aftermarket, cheap to maintain, and you can turn it into a spec racer for about 10g's

Miata convertibles remind me of convertible Rabbit's. The only men that drove them had pink izod shirts on.

-not that there is anything wrong with that

I forgot to mention the neckerchief that went with the izod.

There's a guy who uses a Miata at our local PCA Auto-X's - he always takes FTD - but, of course, PCA won't give him the trophy 'cause he's in X class :-)

My dad has an autox prepped miata, ie:
coilovers, sways, fr+rr strut towers, lowered, hoosiers, all the exhaust/intake/header mods, short shift, lightened fly, racing clutch, etc...
It is a f-ing blast to drive, razor sharp turn in, the back loves to pop out but its so fun to hold it right at the limit on a course. Just wish he would take it to a real track..hopefully soon.

anways, everyone that is talking smack about a miata, have you ever driven a well prepared one? Id much rather drive it then my 951 @ an autox
Give credit where credit is due, its a hell of a car for the money.

Tom.. I am of course joking. But you got to admit, I was right on target with the typical male Rabbit driver in the 80's. The Saab convetible is just a Rabbit in denial.
