Second: fixing the bottoms of both sills, where they were pushed up, probably by jacking the car.

Here's the right sill.

And the left sill.

I made some adapters that can screw onto my slide hammer, and welded these to the sill seam at the center of each "dent".

My big slide hammer attached. It took a good number of hits on each side to get the sill close to straight.

Final results after cutting off the studs and grinding away the welds.

Third: patching the hole in the front right inner sill. Here's the hole after cutting out the small rust-through spot, and the patch (made from a spare piece of 914 fender).

Ready to weld, welded in, and after grinding. I was a bit less aggressive in grinding, since the metal is kinda thin.

4th: Patching the floor front corners. Here's the patch for the left side.

Back to 4th: I decided to reform the corner patches so they better duplicate the original channel shapes. I think these are ready.

Wish I had your skills, and patience! Tried my hand at welding when I tried to patch the battery box on my 356C Cab many years ago.... found out quickly I was NOT a good welder! Left it to the pros!

My welding skills are adequate--on a good day. Most of what I posted so far had welding done by my son. I need to get the boy to visit again.

Here's the left side patch welded in, and a quick grinding. A few spots to re-weld tomorrow and then final grinding.

Given that these floor corners support the front jacking points, I decided to make some reinforcing plates for the inside.
