Come to find out the paint beneath the engine grill is supposed to be matte black... So I got right on it - and then set the grill back in place to see how the contrast looked today.

Took a trip to Europe during the Monza race. Just returned yesterday. That extracted two weeks out of my progress. However, while away I found that the interior bits are nearing completion. Each piece getting fresh full leather. All I need to do it bolt them on one-by-one as he delivers them. Plus I had the carbs rebuilt and they were presented to me today. So its going pretty well even while I was away. Exciting!

I put the rebuilt (and upgraded) Weber 40's back on today. Plus the interior guy dropped off the upper & lower dash pieces / now in new fresh leather. Damn this is nice.

Hey thanks man. I am so stinking excited I think I may pee down my leg. This car is bananas. How a 100HP 40 year old car can keep me entertained is really beyond me I tell 'ya. I am convinced that we are all nutz.

Thanks. Its getting there. I will throw on the actual panned wheels (polished spoke Fuch) and shelf the paint booth set shortly (I want to bleed the brakes anyhow) and it should really start to look the part.

The shop? Its my best kept secret. Just a quaint little Cent IL shop - one that keeps me sane.
