Massive Hips of DOOM
She's going into paint next week, and by the way - THESE are hips
I just can't wait to get the wheels under her.
Main accomplishment, drip rails have been shaved. Louvers will be cut before paint.

Hips or Trapezoids of Doom?? Damn!! Can't wait to see the paint Gabe. It's all coming along nicely. Won't be long until the bodywork is all done and that will be a big milestone.
Keep it coming...
Crazy thing is that most of the guys reading this have no idea that you have another 'little' project going on at the same time. You will be able to sell tickets my man. Hahaha

Guns - I'm enjoying the development of your project and anxious to see the finished product. Thought you might like to see pics of my '79 Kremer 935 K2 (street version). I purchased the car in very rough condition several years back and finished its restoration six months or so ago. Engine, transmission and suspension work done by Turbo Kraft out in Tempe, Arizona. By the way, Chris of Turbo Kraft is as sophisticated and knowlegable as anyone I've ever used and a pleasure to deal with. I'd heartily recommend them to anyone wanting extraordinary Porsche work at competitive prices.
Specs:
3.6 L (approx 625 HP and 600 ft lb torque @ 1.0 Bar)
Motec M8 ECU w/3D integrated fuel injection & boost mapping
Twin Ultimate Motorwerks "Zero Clearance" Stage 2 Turbos
Tial 38 MM wastegates
Milled & ported heads
Modified headers - WWG port added into collector, heat exchangors removed
Porsche Motorsport camshaft
Custom stainless dual muffler system, no catalytic converters
Porsche 993 TT intercooler converted to Porsche Turbo Cup specs
(approiximately 55% greater capacity than stock 993TT intercooler)
G 50 transmission w '94 turbo 5th gear
Senter clutch
Limited slip differential
Custom valved Bilstein RSR& 934 coil over shocks
Eibach ERS springs, billet mounts and hats
Hollow adjustable anti sway bars
Carbon fibe strut tower brace
Steeriing rack bump steer kit
BBS magnesium centerlock wheels
Yokahama 225/50/15's front
Yokahama 345/35/15's rear
I've owned and enjoyed a number of exotic automobiles (Ferrari Dino, Ferrari Boxer, 79 930, 81 928 S, a Countach, a Mangusta, several Corvettes and a Viper), but I've never driven a car with the sheer *** puckering performance of the 935. Nor have I ever owned or driven a car that gets more attention which, of course, is always a lot of fun. I have a hunch you'll have the same experience. Good luck with your project.

92742 The only thing I would change are the wheels/tires. I had those old BBS's myself many years ago. Those almost look like 15's? Have you thought about updating to some 18's to fill out you fenderwells?

92742: My dear God that car is sweet! Congratulations on completing your project and on your dyno numbers to boot! That's the same harness truss I'm using for the carbon fiber GT3 seats, I love the way it looks.
1 question though, when you say you get a lot of attention...just how much are we talking here? The last time I saw a Boxer, there were about 10 people around it gawking and it was at lunch time at a favorite restaurant where Gallardos are the norm...if you want shoot me a PM on what to expect. As I've never gotten much attention with my cars.
Mike: Thanks bro, same to you

Guns...
Man sorry it took so long to get this model done. I had two deaths in my family and I didn't touch a computer for a month and a half. I will be finishing the textures this week and trying to match your wing. Shoot me an email if you want any changes. CSquared2k@yahoo.com There is a basic intrior and no engine.

Stratman - They are the original 15's mounted by Kremer when they fabricated the car in Ossendorf in 1979. Although the brakes have been beefed, I have considered going to 17's so that Big Red's could be incorporated. For my maybe 2,000 miles a year use of the car, however, the existing brake system has been adequate and actually I guess I'm so old that I kind of like the retro wheel and tire setup and they do fill the wheel wells. I might add that the wide rear tires are becoming very difficult to find and although I happened accross, bought and stored a new set several months ago, at some point larger wheels will be a necessity.
Guns - Regarding the attention the car gets, I live in East Texas where barbershops are still major entertainment venues so the level of interest in your area may be somewhat diminished. I suspect in most more sophisticated metropolitan areas you won't encounter grown men crying and young boys cheering as you rumble past. There's nothing like a small town.
