After talking to the shop, we could go with a darker color but we'd sacrifice the finish we have on the body panels now - and that was the exact finish I was looking for. So in certain lighting the panels will look very black, but in lighted conditions, they'll appear as they do in the photos. Remember the panels are being photographed with a flash - so this is with a large amount of bright light just a few feet away. They look much darker in person.

Haven't heard anything back from the shop yet, they're incredibly busy so I guess my project is on the backburner for a few more weeks. I'm going to give them another prod in a couple of days hopefully I should be getting some fully painted pics soon!

Saw that engine/trans over on Pelican... was wondering just how hard it would be to put in my race car!
Good luck with that... sounds like a monster engine!

Eye Candy
Nothing much to report except for a few pics of eye candy of the 935 rear 19" wheels and fans pre shipping to the shop in Van Nuys.
Also concerning the motor and trans, the box we're going to be using is the 4 speed with a short R&P and Quafie differential.
The motor is a custom work of art, 3.8 liter, 634 rwhp at 1 bar, just plunked down my deposit and will be doing the motor swap in July. Here are a few pics of the 964 motor in its original car along with details:
