Default I Want To Order These Headers But...

The company said the oil line doesn't come with it. Where can I find one already made that will work with them? I know their not the best headers out there but I only put very few miles on my car and I think the will be fine for me.

Another problem with those headers is that they have drilled the wrong OD for all the mounting holes.

To be more specific, the turbine side holes are to small and the header to cylinder heads are way to large.. You get a constant exhaust leak, from the movement of the header..

WOW... I didn't know that. I'm surprise they sell them if they have problems like that.

Huh...that's strange! I don't doubt the master, but I have these headers and am very pleased with them. Absolutely no leaks on a daily driven car. Fitment was perfect...had no issues with the install. Time will tell. Just like time ran out on my B&Bs! Lasted a tad over two years and about 10,000 miles...to the tune of $3,200 (including a single out muffler, that I removed long ago)!!!!

Thanks for that info... Where did you get that oil line to hook to the small tank?

I had B&Bs before these, Bernard, and the oil line was supplied in their kit.

Or just call us. We can supply a series of lines that will work or a SS line.

How many lines do I need with those headers?

I had a early set in my own hands. If they corrected the hole sizing, they should be "great" for the money..

Basically what they did is flip the hole sizes.. The turbine inlet flange was drilled to fit a 8 x 1.25 and the header flanges were 10 x 1.5 studs.

Benard,
Just call Stephen at IA and he will fix you up. You will also need the little tank that collects oil from the turbo bearing. Most header companies include the tank. You will need a hose from the tank back to the sump and from there to the thermostat in the right wheel well. I got mine from Vertex and it is a hard line and a OEM type hose from the hard line to the thermostat. You will be replacing the line that currently runs from the thermostat behind the rear of the engine to the pump on the forward left side of the engine. Some people use a SS braided hose for both. Good luck.

Man, this is all new to me, I sure hope I'm not opening a can of worms by adding these headers? The small oil tank comes with the headers. Any pictures of all these oil line hoses I'll need?

PS: The good luck part scares me

Sandman,

Can up feel any difference between OBX and the B+Bs in performance and turbo spooling times?

Do the OBX lead to boost creep?

The butt dyno tells me no difference between the two. No boost creep that I've observed...

Sandman,

Did it come with the various gaskets, oil line, drip tank? Or was there any stuff you needed to get seperately?

I assume the flange holes where all drilled to the correct size?

Thanks!

My set came with the drip tank...that's it. No other gaskets and/or hardware were included. Please keep in mind, my car was already running after-market headers (B&B), so I already had the oil lines. I ordered 12 new exhaust flange to cylinder head copper nuts and 6 new exhaust port gaskets. My turbo base gasket and exhuast side gasket were both pretty new and I re-used them...same for the hardware that holds the turbo to the headers. Just remember the set pictured above and the set that I bought, DOES NOT have heat.

And yes, the flange holes on mine were fine...
