Widest possible rear rim/tire combo?
i have been told by more than a few places that 315s will fit without rub... not that i really want to run a 315 in the rear.
however i'm getting conflicting info on the wheels, Fikse says i can get a 11.5" wide wheel into the rear without any body work and removing the 1" factory rear spacer. But Kinesis says a 11" rear is the biggest...
also, we have the 993 Big rears front and rear if that will make much of a difference.
nobody seems to be able to give me a definative answer, what is everyone on here running as far as widths and offsets go?

This question cannot be answered so easily. There is a relationship between wheel width and tire width/hieght to be considered. A narrow wheel will pull in a wide tire and a wide wheel will stretch a narrow tire.
You have to work with wheel well width and hieght (from the ground). For most widebodies that number is 13.5" +/- 0.5". On my Euro hieght car I can run 345/35-15s on 12x15 wheels with the available space maxed out. Rubs very slightly when auto-Xing. Currently I have 315/30-18s on 11x18 wheels and they look lost in the well. A good 18" fit would be 335/30-18s on 12" wide rims.
Using 2" spacers in the rear I have 7.5" of back spacing.

Anyone have any pics? Eventually I'd like to convert to turbo flares. I wasn't aware you could fit up to 335's under the stock flares. How about the fronts? I've seen a few running anywhere from 255's to 265's in the front. Wow, the stock Carrera front wheel wells don't seem to have ANY room for tires. I had 245's up front but, they rubbed bad and stuck out .5". Hehe, the 205's I have up front now just don't cut it.

345-15s and 315-18s
The 345s will rub the oil lines and the suspension adjustments bolts. You have to move the lines down and shave the bolts. No big deal.

We are going to run the Pirelli P-Zero Corsa Systems as i get a great price on them.
235/40/18 front on an 18x8.5 or 18x9" rim
either 295/30/18 or a 315/30/18 rear on a 11.5" rim.
i'm trying to shave as much caliper padding off the rear setup to get the maximum amount of dish possible. Fikse is just a couple hours away so i could drive down and get fitted to exactly what i want but i REALLY like the K18Rs!
i probably should just get off my butt and measure it myself. just wondering if anyone has already done the measurements on this sort of setup and hasn't posted....

CCW built me 18's, 9 and 12's for the track. Your basic steamrollers.
Running 245/30 and 305/30 Hoosiers, no factory rear spacer.
I too wanted 315's and will try them next, just wasn't sure they'd fit.
The passenger side rear did initially rub on the oil line. I couldn't adjust the line enough, so I use a 1/4" spacer to kick out the wheel. No problem. Clearance wise, I think the 315's will work in the fenders.
You can never have too much tire in the rear with these guys; less chance the rear will be leading you off the track.
