Default The 951 Completed!

Hi guys:

I know this is a little off topic but I told you guys that I would post a picture of the finished engine bay when I got them. The first one is before, the second one is the after shot.

She's clean as a whistle and runs great. I think I am putting out about 300 - 320 WHP and it is a hoot to drive.

Best regards!

Tom

Fantastic! If your son ever wants to sell the black one let me know. You mount the battery horizontally?

Default Hi Senna 21

Thanks!

The battery is an Optima sealed unit and that's the way it came. I beleive they did it that way so that it would fit. Seems to work just fine though.

I think my son is in love with his black beauty (can you imagine owning such a car at the age of 20 (he pays for it all himself... a hard worker)). It is a really special one in that it has low miles and is particularly fast. It keeps right up with mine to a point. Also, he just installed a complete coil over suspension into it and is following dads lead on cleaning things up! So it may be a while but you never know.

Best regards!

Tom

Default Thanks Richard

They are great cars! Are you now a 930 owner?

Thanks guys. Yup, I do love it. Just a joy to drive and very fast, not in a 930 way, but much easier to handle.

Yep - 944, 951, 944S2 were my first three cars - all daily drivers including a ski rack ontop and snow tires in the winter..Traded the turbo for the S2 to my mechanic who then turned it into a showcase for his mechanical abilities (the list of mods he did were too extensive for me to remember). I still get to admire it 8 years later. They're all great cars - too bad we have to choose (well, some of us anyway!). Big difference between them for me is that while the 951 is a great car in all respects, owning a 930 feels like a priviledge that puts you in awe every time you get behind the wheel.
