After reading 9 pages of posts, don't leave me hanging - is the car home, all good?

A quick peak at his post history makes me think the story continues over in Turbo:

She's home now- have only managed to put 500 miles on it so far but it runs like a top. And not a single oil leak which is nice.

I know people can miss things but my mechanic saw the issue very quickly, along with the JB Weld. Mis-diagnosis from the original PPI.
I'm chiming in late here, but did you explore some monetary recourse, from the dealer?! You can nail them for false advertising, which you can use as leverage to get these bills paid and aggravation it's all been putting you through. Not knowing your deal, you also must have paid $$ for the car in the first place, again based on false advertising.

I don't think that's possible. As he got a ppi. That leaves seller. Off the hook saying buyer fully inspected before purchasing.
Not that you could go back when buying a used car regardless. Most have no warranties implied or otherwise.

I actually did get a little compensation from the dealer and the shop that did the PPI gave me a full refund for the PPI. It was a small fraction of what the rebuild cost, however. But, onward and upward, lessons learned, etc.... The car runs awesome and I'm happy with it.

Glad you made it through and are happy with the car. Nothing worse than seeing someone get burned on the buying and repairing and then dump the car like a bad first date. The car will reward you ten fold for your effort.

Yeah nothing like a bad taste at the start that puts you off the brand forever.
Glad you were able to look past it and are enjoying the car now
