Went for a drive today in the 69E and tried the sit and rotate your legs in method. No way I could get my head in after I sat down. Head first method was also a no go. I guess I could crawl across to the passenger side and then try to work my way back over. One issue I have with any entry is getting my right foot tangled in the peddles.
I think I will stick with my tried and true even if it is inelegant.

Have to thank you guys for this thread - I'm 63yo and 13 years into my P-car owner ship ('86 911 cab) . Last year or two has been difficult getting in & out. I thought it was just me having this problem - glad to know I'm not alone...

head first most of the time.....
But serious, I am only 21 so its not an issue. But my father who is 6'2 and 59 drives it on occasion and hates it for this very reason. He seems to sit in the seat then swing his legs in to the car. To get out he swings his legs out then pulls him self out of the car.
Regards
Dave

Hmm, Never even thought about it until I started reading this thread.
I just place my right foot inside, drop down into the seat while at the same time bringing the left leg inside before I close the door on my foo

Funny thread, had to try it just to see. Butt first, swing in legs, never even think about it. 6'2" 250 lbs.
