Default paintscratch.com good match

all,

just wanted to let everyone know that paintscratch.com did another excellent job matching my 82 911sc color schwarz metallic which is a dark grey metallic color L708.

i ordered 2 spray cans/clearcoat for my H4 trim rings and the match is excellent. the small applicator bottle w/brush was also an excellent match.

i've ordered paint from other suppliers on the internet and have had bad luck with some silver shades in the past.

That's pretty good. When I asked for platinum metallic, the color I got was way darker and did not match. The Gran Prix White was off as well.

I used Color Chip and the match was good, but then I have a black car.

i'll post some photos of the painted H4 trim rings and exterior mirrors(that PO painted black)with the new L708 paint mix...i also repainted the fuchs wheel centers with primer and a nice black satin finish.

by the time i spayed the trim rings it got cold and had to bring them inside the house to dry. my wife loved the odor of laquer during dinner.

I like Rustoleum Satin Black #7777 for spraying wheel centers. Another satin black paint I like is the Rustoleum Ultra High Heat BBQ paint. Make sure it is the Ultra as the regular high heat is a flat black.

here are some photos from today. the H4 trim ring match is damn close...need a couple more thin coats of clear on the trim rings (i've applied 3 coats) and still have to paint the rear wheel centers.
