Kai thought he had the place to himself after being king the last two nights. The day of reckoning was today. They actually met a the shelter and get along fine. But keeping Anika settled down after her surgery last night is tough.
As to the grass....that is the finest artificial turf on the market. Dear old Charlie did a number on the lawn when we moved in, and it was replaced in short order.Glad to hear your jumping in on the project. A little at a time consistently will provide results.

Got it! I'm in the works on getting a front bumper from San Diego I don't want to buy the fenders yet..... I'm still on the fence on what to do, FG CF or steel.

Did a little work today. Took the wheels off pulled the caliper off the right front wheel. I guess I have to figure out how to remove the front a-arms. Maybe read some manuals? Duh.
Took out the seat rails, well one, I stripped one bolt. I'll have to go back to Lowes and get a tapout kit. I was there today looking for a bits and pieces when I picked up a cutting airtool. I brought it home and when I pulled it out of the box the dam bit was busted. When I took the whole tool out the nameplates were coming off.... WTF. I'll return the cutter and get a new one as well as the tap out screws.
I'll be picking up the new suspension pan tomorrow. I've got emails in for a front bumper, vent windows, and the Targa Bar stainless. Good Stuff! Until next week!
On another note I am coaching my son and daughter for soccer so my time is going to be limited a little bit. But I'm making the priorities.

This project reminds me of a friend's 1950 Split Window VW Beetle restoration. He bought it sight unseen
from Sweden. It was shipped to the US on a container ship into the Port of Elizabeth in New Jersey.
He went to the terminal to pick it up and when the dock worker opened the container and saw the car
he said to my friend "What, they don't have any junkyards in Sweden?"
His restoration turned out beautiful as I'm sure your's will. Enjoy the project!

My neighbour came over on the weekend while we were working on the car. He's from Sweden and wanted to talk cars, he's actually participating in the 24hour of Lemons up in Monterrey. He's a diehard Saab nut, kind of nice that there's another Euro nut out in the neighborhood. Most guys are rodders or old American cars.... He said he'll keep coming by to check on the progress.
And FYI I've seen worse auto saves on Pelican

That vid is awesome. Have two Bernese and they're annoyingly cute at times.
Good luck with your roller, building something up from close to scratch sounds like an amazing endeavor and full of potential! Could turn it into anything from a complete period restoration to a Singer hot rod or anything in between!

On a lighter note I went to pick up the front bumper $60. The guy who was selling it had an absolute monster 914 with a custom 2.0 twin turbo. OMG it was mean. He was a factory mechanic and worked on Porsche racecars for ALMS and anything else Porsche related. We talked a lot about engines and I might look into contacting him when I'm ready to go motor....
I also picked up a pretty clean pedal assembly for $80. I got to looking into what I had and it was a little toast.
